Teen injured in shooting in Southwest Detroit, police searching for suspect

A teen was shot in Southwest Detroit early Thursday morning, and police are searching for the suspect. The shooting happened in the area of Vernor and Livernois on Oct. 16.  Detroit police said someone shot from outside the home and hit the teen boy who was inside.  The teen was sent to the hospital. The severity of his injuries are unclear. Police have not released further information about the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP.
