Ambulance totaled after chase, crash in Oakland County

A paramedic and a patient are safe after a stolen ambulance caught fire following a chase and crash in Oakland County. At about 3:25 p.m. Friday, police said a MedStar paramedic crew was treating multiple patients at a motor vehicle crash in Novi when a person involved in the accident entered one of the ambulances and drove away with a paramedic and a patient inside. Officials said MedStar tracked the ambulance throughout the incident and communicated its location to law enforcement.
