Chief blasts policy violations in Detroit police shooting

A woman who was shot by Detroit police on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, after a traffic stop led to a police chase. Now, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said the woman won’t face charges, and officers violated several of the department’s policies.
