Full presser: Woman shot by Detroit police won’t face charges; officers committed several violations

A woman was shot by Detroit police on Sunday afternoon after a traffic stop led to a police chase. During a press conference on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said the woman won’t face charges, and that officers violated several of the department’s policies.
