Detroit Lions agree to record contract extension with Aidan Hutchinson, per report

The Detroit Lions have agreed to a record-breaking four-year, $180 million contract extension with Aidan Hutchinson, guaranteeing him $141 million. This deal makes Hutchinson the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history in terms of guaranteed money. Hutchinson, a standout pass rusher, has accumulated 34.5 sacks over 46 games with the Lions since being drafted second overall in 2022. Despite a significant injury in 2024, he continues to excel with six sacks and four forced fumbles this season. The Lions have also extended contracts with key players like Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Alim McNeill.
