Detroit’s Gen Z voices: What young voters want from the next mayor, city improvements
Election Day is on Nov. 4, 2025, and Detroiters will vote for their next mayor. Some of those voters will be the next generation of leaders. We’re talking about Gen Zers — a group of 20-somethings with strong opinions about the directions of the city. Local 4’s Nick Monacelli put a panel together and asked them what they want to see in a new leader, what they want in terms of public transit, how to attract more young people in the city and frustrations they have.
