Full hearing: Mom accused of murdering son, burying him behind Detroit home bound over

The mother accused of murdering her 9-year-old son and burying him in a shallow grave behind a Detroit home was bound over to circuit court on Tuesday. Brandee Katrice Pierce was charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, first-degree child abuse, tampering with evidence and concealing the death of an individual after she allegedly smothered her son, Zemar King, to death, tied him up and buried him in the backyard of the home she rented in Detroit. She is scheduled to be arraigned in circuit court on Nov. 12, 2025.
