Cash assistance program for pregnant women, new parents expands to 6 Wayne County communities

The cash assistance program for pregnant women and new parents, Rx Kids, is expanding to six cities in Wayne County, supported by a $7.5 million investment and $250 million from the state budget. Starting November 10, eligible pregnant women in River Rouge, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Inkster, Melvindale, and Dearborn can apply for financial aid, receiving $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 monthly for six months post-birth.
