Full motion hearing: Man accused of murdering well-known Detroit doctor appears in court

The man accused of murdering a well-known Detroit doctor was back in court Thursday. Desmond Burks appeared in court on Nov. 13, 2025, for a motion hearing. His attorney filed a motion to quash during his last court appearance on Oct. 24, claiming prosecutors do not have evidence to prove Burks killed Dr. Devon Hoover.
