FBI raids Dearborn home of convicted felon linked to deadly bowling alley shooting
FBI agents, with assistance from Dearborn police, raided the home of Gregory Powell, a 44-year-old convicted felon linked to a deadly shooting at Vision Lanes bowling alley in Westland in April 2021. During the chaotic raid involving flash bangs, agents seized weapons and evidence. Powell, who admitted to the shooting, claimed self-defense but faces federal charges for felon in possession of ammunition, with security footage and his ID linking him to the crime. An ATF expert confirmed the shell casings found were manufactured outside Michigan, and Powell confessed to buying the gun illegally in Lansing.
