David Young Fernandez performs Phantom of the Opera hit at Detroit tree lighting

The 22nd annual Detroit Tree Lighting event in Campus Martius Park, sponsored by the DTE Energy Foundation, marked the beginning of the holiday season with thousands in attendance. A preview of “Phantom of the Opera,” set to return to Detroit next year, featured a live performance by David Young Fernandez. Scott Myers, marketing director for Broadway in Detroit, discussed the partnership with the Downtown Detroit Partnership, which facilitates Broadway performances at the event, and emphasized the importance of donating tickets to the Partnership.
