Michigan students are improving in math, study shows

A new report from Michigan State University shows our public school children are making strides in math, but reading remains a struggle. The study looked at student growth over time, not just test scores and found strong recovery in math, even surpassing pre-pandemic levels, but reading, especially in younger grades, is still lagging. Tara Kilbride, a research associate in education policy, innovation and collaboration joined Local 4 to discuss the study.
