Student react after Michigan State University Wells Hall closes over suspected meth materials

Michigan State University’s Wells Hall was closed after police found Xin Tong, 31, inside with chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine, causing about $20,000 in damage. Tong, who was carrying an expired MSU ID, faces felony charges and is being held on a $500,000 bond, with a pretrial hearing set for May 8. The incident disrupted students during finals, prompting concern and confusion, but authorities say there is no ongoing risk to the campus community.
